Maryland Blue Crabs
The long awaited road trip to Baltimore finally came around last weekend. We packed up our bags and headed down south with some friends... We stopped overnight in NYC for some shopping and eating first and then headed to Baltimore for the Red Sox game...
Camden Yards was pretty amazing. Having only been to Fenway and Wrigley, the ballpark seemed colassal... There was never any wait at the restrooms, the beer was brought to our seats (just like Wrigley) and our seats were great! However, the only downside was the heat and humidity. It was truly unbearable during a stretch of the game. Luckily the Red Sox pounded the Orioles so we were relaxed and had a good time...
After the game we went to dinner at Obrycki's Crab House... (check it out at www.obryckis.com) This was one of the highlights of this trip for me since I have an obsession with crabs... It was my first experience having Maryland Blue Crabs and an experience it was! 4 dozen crabs were dumped onto our table. We were all armed with wooden mallets ready to crush the shells and dig out every last morsel of meat... I thought I could eat alot of them since crabs have such little meat, but only made it to three... I am determined to eat more the next time around, whenever that may be... I hope we can start a yearly tradition of going down there every summer to catch a game in Baltimore so we can eat these crabs and also stop by Mitsuwa in NJ on our way back... That was a treat as well... The miso ramen and fatty pork were just heaven..... Damn now I'm hungry...
