So.............  I got my FISH results back today and they came back completed normal!!!  No evidence of abnormalities in chromosomes 13, 18, 21, X and Y (which account for about 95% of potential abnormalities)!  I will have to wait another week for the full panel report, but I feel SO relieved right now...  The past few days have been pure torture and a real test to my mental state.  For a few moments I really thought I was going insane...  I know it didn't help that I was stuck in the house for four days straight...  I've had really bad headaches lately which I think is from all the worrying, anxiety and insomnia...  I think I can deal with the wait for the full panel results since the FISH results were normal...  I have another OB appointment next week and she should have the final word by then...  Can you hear the sigh of relief through this blog entry? =)

On another note, I am officially 20 weeks today!  Halfway!  It feels like it's been such a long journey to this point, but at the same time it's come so quickly.  Once I get the full report back from the amnio and then get my next ultrasound done, I think I'll be totally relieved.  We haven't been able to get good shots of the baby's heart due to his stubbornness to keep still everytime I go for an ultrasound.  They need to make sure the heart is ok and has no potential heart defects which they said could contribute to his fold showing thicker than usual...  So I'm not out of the woods yet, but feel like we are headed in the right direction~
