3D/4D Ultrasound
So my 3D/4D ultrasound today was a complete bust. I'm not gonna lie - I was completely disappointed. I booked this weeks in advance and was looking forward to it. I figured by 27 weeks he'd be a decent size and in a decent position... I knew he was in a breeched position at my last ultrasound, but didn't expect him to still be in that position! The little monster was totally uncooperative and all he did was moon us and show us his goods the entire session... The sonographer told me to do some calisthenics, but he wouldn't budge. The closest we got was one ear... All I wanted was one good picture of his face!!! Luckily this place allows you to come back for a second session if the first was unsuccessful in capturing any decent pics... It was interesting though how after the sonographer saw the position and location of him, she asked me if I was hurting down in the pelvic region and whether I had sciatic nerve pain - both of which is a big YES! Now I know why I've been in so much pain the past few weeks... The little monster is positioned very low and is sitting on my bladder, putting tons of pressure on my pelvic region and pushing against my spine with his feet due to his position. BAD BOY!
There were three pics we did get - all of which are of his wee wee and bum or a combo of both... Like I said, that was all he would show us! The top pic is of his little wee wee (where the arrow is). The middle pic is of his left leg. Do you notice how THICK it is!? He has thunder thighs!
Even the sonographer pointed out how huge they were! I hope he's not a little pudgy porker! The bottom pic is his bum and the arrow is where his wee wee is (picture when you pick up both legs of a baby to wipe his bum - that is the position he is in...) I know these pics aren't much, but it was all he would offer... We go back in two weeks and I pray that he will be more cooperative. We booked an evening session this time since he seems to be more awake and alert at night... We're keeping our fingers crossed!!!
