The Waiting Game...

So today was my official last day at work!  I must have been anxious about it because I woke up at the crack of dawn and couldn't go back to sleep.  I decided to just go in early and wrap up the loose ends...  The morning whizzed by and before I knew it, I was walking out of my office.  It will probably be the last time I sit in there since we should be moved into our new office space when I return from maternity leave.

I had my weekly OB appointment yesterday and she did her usual check and then told me I was dilated to 2cm!  At least it was something considering the week before she said there was absolutely no progress.  I know that means nothing since I could be stuck at 2cm for awhile, but I had been having bad cramps earlier this week.  I'm assuming those were contractions at the time.  It never amounted to anything and weren't ever consisted, but they were painful nevertheless!  Afterward I was told to go get another ultrasound to see how the baby was doing...  I went today and the sonographer told me his heart was beating well, his kidneys looked good, fluid levels were good, etc, etc...  She estimated him at 7lbs and 5oz as of today.  I guess he's not huge nor small, but average.  Let's see how accurate she is as I've seen estimates sway like a pound in either direction when my girlfriends actually finally delivered...

So I have three days left until my due date...  Well, more like two now.  I wonder if he'll make his appearance this weekend...  If he's not here within a week of my EDD, I'll have to be induced, which I totally do not want.  I pray that he'll make his way out on his own.  I think I'm ready...  Or as ready as I'll ever be......................
