9 Weeks
So this past week was pretty uneventful. Keoni has been in a steady routine this past week and it's been manageable. I did have Stacie's bridal shower over the weekend and it went well. It sucked having to stop and pump in the middle of the party, but I did get to drink - probably the most I had since getting pregnant. Later I went over to Heing's. Kai and Fred had watched Keoni all day and when I got there, he was content and happy. They said Keoni was a good boy all day which I was happy to hear. On Sunday I got my first massage since giving birth. Jessica was back from her maternity leave and gave me a great massage. I'm so glad she's back at work! It turned out that she had her boy only two days after mine!
In the past week Keoni has development more... He loves his Baby Einstein gym and coos and babbles at it everyday. He particularly likes Mr. Octopus. We also had his 2 week appointment on Tuesday. He got more shots and he was a trooper! I was told he's in the 25th percentile for everything. He is now 10 lbs 3 oz and growing at a nice pace. He looks at me now and I see his eyes follow me as I move. I think he's recognizing me more and more now and my voice grabs his attention! I think the fun part is coming up now. He's more interactive and isn't sleeping 24-7 anymore. In addition, he's sleeping longer stretches at night. I had gone to my first mommy group this past week and ask what constitutes "sleeping thru the night" at his age and was told 5 hrs was STTN for a 9 week old. Keoni definitely has 5 hr stretches so I guess technically he's STTN! He's pretty good - we only have to usually get up once a night to dream feed him...
