15 Weeks
So this was a week of many changes and adjustments... I went back to work on Tuesday and it was the longest, most exhausting week I've had in a while... I have to get up at 6am to pump, shower and get ready and then take Keoni to daycare by 7:30am. I like to stay 15-20 minutes with him before leaving so I can get a dose of him before heading to work. It's so hard to leave him and I miss him so much throughout the day. Luckily they have the kindercam so I watch him online at work when I am thinking of him. Another change was the multiple times I have to pump throughout the day at work. When I'm consumed with work, I don't realize the time going by and miss my pump times. This happened almost everyday and I think my supply has been affected. That and the lack of sleep and stress I endured this week looks like it made my supply take a hit. I have to be better about pumping on time! Maybe I should set the alarm on my phone or something...
We also had Keoni's 100 day celebration on the 29th! It went well and everyone went home full of Korean food. I can't believe he's 100 days already; time is flying~ I hope he continues to be happy and healthy and look forward to many more celebrations with my little man!
This week was also our first full week of adjusting to Garu's blindness. He had a rough week; bumping into furniture and walls and being scared of the stairs. We know it's going to take some time and alot of effort on our part to help him lead a full, happy life. Some days are better than others. He is still hesitant and I can feel the fear in him sometimes and it's heartbreaking... We hope he adjusts quickly and is back to his crazy old self soon...
Another realization we've made this week is how much Keoni enjoys the bouncer! They have them at daycare and he seemed to like them so we went out and bought one for him. We now wish we had known sooner! It is so convenient and he loves it, so it's a double plus! We've been sitting him on the couch; dangerous, I know... But now we can put him in the bouncer and he sits there watching tv and playing with this toys. He will talk to us, laugh and just give of endless smiles... I'm glad we found something that he enjoys so much that also gives us some relief of having to carry him and entertain him all of the time. I think he's also been much happier because we've increased his bottle. The daycare said it seemed like his wanted more, so we've increased it another ounce to 5 ounces and he's so much more happier now. I wish I would have known sooner! But I guess since they see babies day in and day out they recognized it quicker than I did. He happily gulps down his bottles now and is ready to gives us loads of smiles and chuckles. Laughing is another emotion he's been displaying more frequently. It's so adorable and we can't get enough of it! Here's to more milestones!!!
