25 Weeks
So we are slowly approaching Keoni's 6 month mark. I exposed him to rice cereal this past week to see how he would react... He was so excited!!! I was shocked. He would open his mouth wide open when he saw the spoon coming toward him. Of course we both made a mess since he was learning to eat out of a spoon and I had no idea what I was doing! He managed to eat most of the 1 tablespoon I gave him instead of wearing it. I began bringing the cereal to daycare so the teachers could feed him and gradually increased the volume. They told me he loved it and eats each bowl everyday happily. One of the teachers showed me how to feed him to reduce the waste and mess, but I am still learning. I don't know how she fed him the entire bowl without one drop or mess on his face! Amazing! I guess it comes with practice... My boy is growing up and it's kind of sad and exciting at the same time... Soon he will be eating real solids... I still am planning to wait until he's 6 months to give him baby food. I hope he likes that as much as he likes rice cereal!!!
This past weekend Auntie Nancy and Grandma also came to visit. Keoni had a few hours of full attention and had a good time. He was pooped by the end of the night and slept his usual 11-12 hrs... The next day was his first time meeting a fellow Chinorean! Kaiya was in town so we met up with her for lunch. She is so cute and Keoni and she were a cute pair.
They are exactly one month apart, but she seems as developed as Keoni even though he's older! It must be the Korean genes in her. LOL~
