27 Weeks
So this past week marked Keoni's 6 month milestone! I cannot believe it's come this quickly. The months have flown by... He is growing at a good pace and developing as expected. We had his 6 month checkup and he was 17 lbs and 8 oz... His height/length still surprises us... It was at the 84th percentile! I'm not sure where that is coming from... Both his weight and head circumference were at the 50% mark so I was happy.
He's sitting up for longer stretches now and I think beginning to actually recognize us. Before I think he was just happy to see another face, but now I think he knows who Fred and I are. His vision is definitely getting better because he can see me make faces at him from across the room and laughs. He still has yet to crawl though. I'm beginning to think he might be one of those babies that skip crawling and go straight to walking. He can stand up when leaning against something... I think being in the exersaucer and jumperoo has strengthened his legs considerably over the past few weeks. But who knows... I heard boys take longer to walk than girls... He may seem like he'll be walking soon, but then be the last one! It's all good though and I'm not too worried or concerned about it. Once he starts walking it just means for work for us! He is already requiring so much more attention now. He's awake for longer hours of the day and needs to constantly be stimulated. I still love him to death and through all the tiredness and stress from everything else in my life, he makes it bearable.
We also went to take a family photo this weekend to capture his 6 month status~
